Federal authorities arrested DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, Tuesday afternoon.

A tip led the FBI to the waterfront Palm Island home of record producer Scott Storch.

DMX, 37, was taken into custody at around 2:45 p.m. on a warrant from Maricopa County, Ariz., on drug and animal cruelty charges, officials said.

Tuesday night DMX was being held at in Miami-Dade County jail.

He's been arrested at least two other times in Miami-Dade this year.

In August he was picked up outside a Wal-Mart on drug charges from Arizona.

Two months earlier, he was arrested after he tried to buy marijuana and cocaine from an undercover Miami-Dade County officer, police said.

The lastest arrest comes less than two weeks before the rapper's 38th birthday.



....Looks like Scottie might have tipped off the FBI, think about it....last time I heard the man responsible for "Lean Back" had gone broke.....I wonder if there was a reward for DMX's arrest???????
